Eighter from Decatur Bicycle Rally Race / 09/17/2022
The West Fork Amateur Radio Club will be offering communication support for the Eighter from Decatur Bicycle Rally Race on September 17, 2022. We will need volunteers for rest stops, SAG wagons, net control, supply vehicles, ambulances, lead and tail vehicles, etc.
The Eighter from Decatur Bicycle Rally is a charity bicycle ride that benefits Raquel's Wings for Life, an organization that flies local cancer patients to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas, for treatment free of charge to the patient. This event is a fun-filled, family-friendly ride designed to get our participants out of the city to enjoy the back-country roads of Wise and Montague counties, all while raising money for a worthwhile cause. Registration begins at 6:30 am with a start time at 8:00 am. The event location will be at the Decatur Town Square, 110 N Trinity Street, Decatur, TX 76234. You can pick up your registration the Friday before the rally between 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Decatur Municipal Airport, 351 Airport Drive, Decatu'r, TX, 76234, or at the event itself.
